![]() Sheffield’s Big Spring Clean is staging a Litter Pick day in and around the stadium on April 23 from 3pm until 5pm and the Blades hope hundreds of supporters, local residents and staff will follow the players’ lead and join together to spruce up the streets.
In partnership with Sheffield City Council’s street force team and national initiative Keep Britain Tidy, United are helping to raise awareness of the campaign and reduce litter left around the ground after home games.
Blades ambassador and club legend Tony Currie said: “We are pleased to give our support to this campaign and help raise awareness of the Litter Pick day. Hopefully everyone around Sheffield will do their bit to keep the streets clean.”
All necessary equipment will be provided by the council and volunteers are rewarded for their efforts with a match ticket to see the Blades.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for the Litter Pick day on April 23 should email marketing@sufc.co.uk.
